Space planning is a fundamental element of the design process. It reflects the company’s brand and provides offices /open-plan areas, meeting rooms and  pause areas suited to the company’s work culture.  It should be conducive to productivity and efficiency.

Our spaces reflect the evolving world and it’s demands. Form, function and flexibility allow spaces to be multifaceted.  Our readiness to evolve with the constant changing workplace allows us to focus on fundamentals without the loss of aesthetic cohesion. COVID 19 has propelled us to combine a mix of physical and virtual space for corporates, entrepreneurs, free-lancers and others is to ensure that productivity and connectivity is achieved. The eventual effect of virtual work will become evident in the next few years. Our role is to create spaces for people to share information and knowledge. This space needs to be a platform for developing human and emotional connections. It should allow for professional interaction and engagement with management, clients and suppliers.

Space Planning involves consultation, understanding of the company’s structure and technical elements regarding the build, revamp and selection of  furniture . We work hand in hand with architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, project managers and the like on larger projects .

Office Renovations

Updating your office space can be intimidating and can create upheaval. By placing your trust and project in the hands of Spacio Office Dezigns you can concentrate on your business whilst we manage the works. Very often renovations take place due to structural challenges eg., air conditioners malfunctioning, limited power supplies, growth within the company OR internal changes within the company eg., two government departments merging.

A dedicated project manager is allocated to handle the construction and execution of the space. All aspects of the project are dealt with in terms of space planning, finishes, subcontractors, budgets, raw material requirements, labour, payment schedules, professional aspects, and services until completion of the project.

Efficient project management of the budget versus work completed can make or break a project. Regular reports are issued to ensure the client is constantly in the loop and available to make immediate decisions. Hence the need for the client to have a representative on board on a daily basis. This person is the link between the client and the project manager.

Existing workstations can be re arranged to create COVID-compliant spaces ensuring that work continues despite the pandemic challenges.

Spacio Office Dezigns sources the products and services for the implementation of your project. We aim to source high quality materials cost effectively.

Competitive costs are obtained through the established relationships we have had with our suppliers over the years. They advise us of discontinued products or problems with raw material delivery lead times. New products are discussed as they become available. This ensures that we remain up to date.

Our knowledge in construction and space planning becomes advantageous and cost-effective when we approach the project holistically. Understanding the client’s processes ensures that we are able to work accordingly to maximise cash flow.

Should a specific selected raw material need to be imported with long delivery lead times, we are often able to source a more suitable alternative which is ex stock. Both client and project team will have a win–win experience.
